The successful candidate will demonstrate effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>Responsibilities are divided into 40% teaching, 40% research and 20% service.  Teaching responsibilities include one of three levels of professional design studio [teaching that links building knowledge to design practice];collaborating in delivery of our five-course technology sequence; advising students in their comprehensive Design Thesis; and instructing topical graduate elective coursework.  Research and Creative Activity can include research (qualitative and/or quantitative, various forms), professional practice (application and theory-building, public dissemination), applied scholarship (typically community-involved non-remunerative), creative work (visual arts, new media, product design…). Service includes serving on Department, Faculty, and University committees, participating as a guest critic in studios and guest lecturer in courses, and service to local and broader community.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>THE DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE</strong></p> <p>We are an energetic and diverse group who are committed to integrating design education with active scholarship and practice.
