This webinar is part of the RAIC 2022 Virtual Conference on Architecture, now available to stream!
Topics:Sustainability / Climate
Length:1 hour |What's Included:Video, Quiz, andCertificate of Completion
In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on the importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG), and sustainability within architecture. There is increasing pressure for architectural firms to demonstrate sustainability and transparency within their operations as new voluntary standards emerge, preference for smart net-zero buildings rise, and human health and wellbeing standards, such as WELL, proliferate. As the demand for better ESG oversight grows in Canada, architectural firms are in a unique position to embed sustainability approaches into their operations – from design to development. This session will explore emerging ESG and sustainability trends that architectural firms should consider as they support their client's ESG journey. Some of the topics covered in this session will include:
•What is ESG and why is it important?
•What are some of the common ESG frameworks, and how are companies and organizations integrating ESG reporting into their business model?
•What does this all mean for the architectural firms specifically?
Learning Objectives:
